My Friends Keep Knocking At My Door...

So...I tried to quit blogging and as you can see it worked, for a while. Then I had an irresistible urge to express myself.
Life has been hectic and this seems to be the only excuse I can find for not wanting to blog.
I have made a list of five things that is good about blogging, just in case you were wondering what my post was to be about.

TOP REASONS I LIKE TO BLOG....BY ME:

1) I can rant about whatever I want! Actually, I read for a good blog you shouldn't really rant but sometimes...(I'll leave this unfinished sentence so you can insert whatever you would rant about.) Observations/rants can provide valuable reasons to those interested.

2) A little bee told me it helps improve grammar. I totally agree, unfortunately my grammar is nothing to boast about- but that's what this blog is for. I'm improving for the future.

3) It gives me a reason not to hang out with my more social friends. (Me being an introvert rejoices at this thought.) The conversation sounds like this: Jon says, "Hey, you coming to the party?" "Oh," I say seeming to ponder his question, "I can't, I have this writing assignment thing. Maybe next time." Then, I spend the rest of the evening with hot coco, sour patches, netflix, and of course, this blog.

4) It gives me the opportunity to advocate for something I care about. If you haven't noticed, I am a big advocate for Compassion International. This blog gives me the opportunity to talk about it and the ways people can get involved in are discussed.

5) Finally, it allows me to have my voice heard. A time to become transparent for others to experience my life. This is important in my life. I express myself better in writing anyway. Talking becomes jumbled after a while and the only thing left is pen and paper or type and blog.

Those are the five reasons blogging is good for me. Just in case I need reminding and my audience wants to know. So forgive me and my lack of blogging sense November. This rants is over, grammar improved, my voice is heard, and my friends keep knocking at my door! (I told them about this writing assignment and they laughed...)

Generation Impact

Already 923 million people worldwide are undernourished, and there are more than 9 million deaths related to hunger each year.”  Stated Compassion International, a non-profit organization that seeks to help those stuck in poverty. Many non-profit organizations are seeking to help alleviate poverty around the world. Providing food, shelter, and clean water are many ways that these organizations are reaching out to help those that need help. In doing so, they are able to help people by tangibly meeting the needs of the community.

One such organization is Refuge Incorporated. This group of five individuals has decided to make a change in the world in an unusual way. Their hope is to create a face to this sad reality of poverty for many individuals. Refuge Inc.’s main mission is to motivate and inspire people to take action in their own communities and begin to change the apathetic and selfish mentality of the fabric of society.

The means of motivation and inspiration came from a 35 minute long documentary about Cebu a village in the Philippines. Jared Bletcher, one of the five involved, stated that it originally began when he was approached by the president of an organization called The Rescue Ministries. This organization does ministry work in the Philippines and wanted to promote their ministry in the United States through film with the help of Jared.
“After some prayer, it became clear to me that going was the right decision. The work their ministry is doing in the Philippines is really great-I wanted to be able to help them anyway that I could.” Bletcher commented. From there, he and his friend, Adam Collins made the journey to the Philippines.

There the impact of a lifetime begin, "Please remember me" was the cry of meaning, “wanting simply to be known to other people- they want community and love.” Jared stated. For a little while the two boys stayed with children that had been rescued by the Wesley Home for Youth (WHY). However, in order to truly understand the situation at hand meant actually living in the trash dump and in the mountains for several days with some of the families. He went on to say, “It was important to us that Adam and I witness and be a part of the struggle of extreme poverty as much as possible.” Bletcher discussed Refuge: Children of the Trash by saying, “This film was the best way I could have fulfilled that request of remembrance. Now the whole world can know their story.” A story of people full of poverty, struggles, and pain, but also of the opportunity for hope and a new beginning.

Dealing with the controversy of what has come to be known as “poverty porn”, Jared matter-of-factly states, “We're just sharing a story of a child in Cebu with the hope that it will mean something to you too. That's really it. The content of the film may come off as "poverty porn" to a US audience member, but these are very real lives we show in the movie.”
In preparation for this amazing opportunity, Jared and Adam focused on beginning the birthing process of the organization. Discussing things like the name and the logo started an intense, quiet sequence of events that led up to their trip, “I wanted the kids to be the focus of the project, not the documentary.” It was only till Adam and Jared got back that they began discussing this project with others. From there, Refugee Inc. grew in size and support. Jamison Price joined the team as an editor, who, after two months, was joined by Laken Kimsey who was the final editor. From there, Michael Oppizzi came on the team as a writer and musician just two months before the premiere.

In between school, jobs, and college life, the team began a regiment of working in between 3-9 hours a day. To help them relax they would have soccer balls and footballs they could kick or throw around, even playing video games.Working on a scene, looking at hundreds of camera angles and shots for 8 hours straight, you begin to feel legitimately a part of the this person's life in Cebu.” Said Jared, “I can quote our entire movie, but that doesn't make it any less real or meaningful to me. In fact, it is more meaningful to me every time I watch it.”  In remembrance of this challenging time, Jared muses, “It was just a very chill, creative atmosphere in the office. I think our support our team had from everyone and the school made all the difference in the world. I doubt the film would have ever been finished within that support.”
What started off as a chance to help advertise for an organization, resulted in amazing growth and impact not only for this group, but for the generation around them.  Discussing the change in his and the groups lives, Jared agrees, that they matured and says “My motivations and aspirations have changed as a result, and I think that's the case for almost the entire team. Even the successes and failures with this single project have really experienced our team in ways we never expected, be it financial management, team organization, marketing, filmmaking, high impact community engagement practices, or product design - we've had to learn a lot. We've loved it.”

Refugee Incorporated is all about going beyond the social movements and presenting a personal face and real stories. Real stories of those stuck in poverty and the hope that can be created. Hope that can come from varies sources, from non-profits, to individuals, to raising awareness by creating an documentary that is meant to spark thought.

"Let us be the ones who say we do not accept that a child dies every three seconds simply because he does not have the drugs you and I have. Let us be the ones to say we are not satisfied that your place of birth determines your right to life. Let us be outraged, let us be loud, let us be bold." -Brad Pitt

This week I have been thinking about opportunity. Those many little doors that open themselves up daily. Those times when someone says, "Hey, can we talk?" Or, when you are running late for class and someone you know looks like they are not having such a good day...what do you do?

Are we willing to give others the time and effort out of love? Out of respect? What would Jesus do in such a scenario? Throughout the New Testament we see him loving children and people, regardless of their place of origin, despite their financial situation, he reached out. Are we not called to do the same?
Watch this film about one man, who saw something wrong and decided to help, out of love. Are you willing to do the same?

Now this movie shows more than you should just sponsor Compassion, it also shows that ONE person can make such a difference in a person life. All you have to do is see the need.
Today, as you go about your day, take time to see the needs of others and ask yourself, can I help with this need. Be willing to love others as Christ did.

Refuge: Children of the Trash

Soon I will have the distinct honor of interviewing the directors and producers of the life-changing film Refuge: Children of the Trash presented in the 2012 Mossy Creek Festival at Carson-Newman University. Keep an eye out for that!

Green Eggs & Ham...Not a Recipe Book In Sight.

By now, we have all realized that the Government has had a shut down. For those of you who haven't realized this, it is. You are very much welcome for informing you. Now I know what everyone might be thinking, "Hey, you never blog about politics! Your rating will go down!" Well, rest at ease knowing that I am not discussing politics, but blogging about something that tags along with politics for most people.
Worry.
The Merriam-Webster dictionary describes "worry" as "a state of anxiety and uncertainty over actual or potential problems."

Now a state usually happens at certain times, and to be clear they do not last long. They should not last long. Yet, the Bible says,
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matt 6:34 NIV.

"Do not worry" that's a tough one. When the things happen around us, it is hard to not worry. However, there comes a time when worry does not help. For the most part worrying tends to only affect the person worrying. (I know, people around you probably are not affected by your worrying)

Many people seem to think if you do not worry it shows a lack of care. But, it seems that this is not the case.

Now I'm writing this not because I'm perfect and do not worry, or because I think people should "chill out" but as an encouragement to strive. As a reminder for myself that God is in control. Sometimes we need an reminder that we are not the only ones.

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow. It empties today of its strength.

For many women in India and other parts of the world, they have had to overcome many challenges within centuries. I feel like these women are completely misunderstood in religion, culture, and life. Our understanding of life in other areas of the world tend to be tinted at times and do not accurately represent that culture, person or the people as a whole.
Now while we may not fully understand certain situations, we can pray and still fight for what's right. The courage and strength to take a stand for others' rights is an important part of life. Now sadly, injustices continue to prevail in our world today, misunderstandings continue to happen, but beauty still shines though as something wonderful, full of courage and strength. Beauty does not dwell on the outside but rather whats on the inside attempting to shine though.
While issues continue to appear in daily life, beauty can be seen in courage and strength to do or say what is right, to have the strength to continue living despite horrendous life situations.

"We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream."
-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

What will we do to help those in need? Not just in India but all over, even in America. Will we continue to scream for justice when all others have stopped or when no one else is doing it?

Right now there are so many different ways we can help others around us. One of those ways is by sponsoring a child through Compassion International. This organization is taking a stand to help children and families all around the world support themselves and you can be apart of this.
For more information on how you can help you can go to http://www.compassion.com/sponsor_a_child/default.htm

Through this site you can also help create more understanding about other people, and cultures.

One Word...PASSION

Couldn't help but reflect on the word Passion today. It carries with it such a lengthy weight of thought, emotion, and plan. Such as:

*Emotion
*Desire
*Consideration

First, passion comes with its own set of emotion that seep through into your life at every turn. So ask yourself, what are some things that you are passionate about? What kind of emotion is shown?
For me, I decided to make a short life of things that I am passionate about:

The end of Human Trafficking.
The plight of poverty.
The effect communication has on an individual throughout life.

Which brings me to an important issue, currently a bill called HR1732 is up for review by the Congressional representatives. If they approve, it'll be sent to the House of Representatives for a vote! This bill is an important anti-trafficking bill-help show your support. Here is the link for that...

Also, another great organization that many of you have heard me speak of has been Compassion International. Here at their site you can learn all about how to support children who are in need and the impact you can make on the communities and lives around you.

Desire...
All of us have something we want to do, or see. How many of us have desire for good to occur in other people's lives? In today's culture we are surrounded by such a "me" mentality that it is easy to forget what's important. Many times is good to take a step back and evaluate what we truly want in life.

Lastly, consideration. This goes back to considering others-something we heard all throughout our years growing up. But it is so important. When thinking about passion our action comes from considering others and seeing where they are in life. Consider others today and think about how you can make a difference in their lives today.

Overall, all three thoughts stem from one word. One word...passion

Someone Who Believed...

"One of the things I really loved about Martin Luther King, Jr. was his belief that another world was possible."
— Rob Morris, Love146 President & Co-Founder

Another world is possible! Another world is possible… What kind of world? Another.

What a statement! In a world that King, Jr. had to watch the struggles of his people, the persecution, etc. he believed another world was available and he sought to make this world possible! And to this day, people see him as someone who believed.
What kind of world do we believe is possible?

-Ending poverty by 2020(or by some 2015)
-Providing Drinking water to all nations
-Ending homelessness in America by 2020

Whatever it is, people have these visions of another world without…insert vision here. However, many of this people get mocked or laughed at for thinking their dream can come true. Why is that? Why does one world mock someone in that world for thinking of a brighter future?!
Perhaps it is because that dream may seem too big. May I say that the best dreams are the ones too big to truly grasp? May I say that the best visions are those that perhaps could fail, but don’t?! That God has given us all a plan for the future, an opportunity for a better world, another world.

Before we get all bent out of shape over someone’s dream, let’s remember that at one point, we believed EVERYTHING/ANYTHING was possible through Christ. When did we lose this mentality? When did we start doubting the power of God?

Matthew 19:26:
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

All things are possible.
What's your vision or dream?

It's Been A While

The other day, I came to the sad realization that it had been awhile since I sat down and just thought. School has gotten in the way as well as life. So to apologize for my lack of care, I decided it was time.

Time to sit down and write about a couple of things.

To let everyone walk life with me, and understand the struggles I continue to go through. Many of you remain unknowing, others of you realize the struggle.

Here in college it is so hard to focus on outreach, on ministry. School needs you to do this or that-there is never that moment to take a break. My struggle, the desire to remain in God's will and understand that my place is here. Unfortunately, that is hard to understand right now. I want to be out helping others. Yet, my place is here. The training period is here. My daily life is my ministry. And it is so hard at times to remain focused on where God has placed me.In declaring this,
I hope it will help me understand this more and more.

Your ministry is where you are. But at times it can get a little discouraging when that is not your end goal. People say its training BUT does that make it any less difficult? NO. But for now, the desperate heart of mine will wait and pray.

Which Bible Verse Prompts and Guides You to Serve Others?

A lot of the time, poverty is something that many simply look in the face, yet never do anything about it. Many feel unable to do what they truly think they should do and so they refuse all aid. Perhaps its something personal either way it's hinder your ability to serve others. When I come face to face with this situation when I think that I can not make the impact I think is required. I turn to the Word. The Bible is filled with people who felt inadequate for the job God called them to do. One of my favorites though is Jeremiah's Call. After reassuring Jeremiah of God's love and knowledge He reassures Jeremiah that He will give him the words, just step out.

When I am asked to speak about missions I love using these verses (5-10) because of their ability to first, reassure oneself that God knows what He's doing, and second, God has called us all to make a different regardless of our excuses. But first, God has this amazing ability to reassure one to keep trusting and to keep walking and to see the amazing things God can do. Lastly, regardless of our many excuses God can use us all. No speech impediment, shyness, or inability to connect well with people can stop one.

One of my missions has been to reach out to kids in poverty. After looking into a great organization Compassion International I realized that I was simply not able financially because I had to pay for college to support a child. But God had given me this passion and desire, and now, I blog for compassion, doing something that I have never been very good at. Writing and expressing feelings. However, God knows what He is doing which is a great thing to know. The ability to be able to spread the news about what Compassion is doing for kids is amazing and I am always so excited to see what God has for this organization in the future.

Mindset: Survival

So I saw some Pelicans fly by me and the first things I thought was, I wish I could be like birds. Birds always seem to know where they are going. Fly North? Why by golly the birds say, “ I know which way to go.” Humans on the other
r hand, really don’t seem to ever know where they are going. Ask anyone, “So what are you going to do with your life?; How are you going to get there?” The usual response is I do not know.
Even some well-established in their age question those seem old questions. Can we be like birds? What holds us back from doing what God wants while birds just go? Maybe it’s the distinction of what each purpose is for. Birds fly for survival, humans on the other hand, it seems like it is all about happiness.

What would happen if we examined our life and started heading towards protection and survival instead of the never ending journey to find happiness?

I would like to say that perhaps the compass might actually point somewhere and not just spin whichever way the wind takes it.
Can we hear the heartbeat of survival? Survival tends to only be in Christ.
The intricate details of survival are found in the Bible. God’s blue print for His people. Not just a historical document, but one that shows the survival of a people who followed God. Survival of them, and damage to all others.

Perhaps There's Something To It...

Have you ever had that place that made you put everything in perspective? It was easier to think when you were there. Smells were strange and the views stirred a longing up deep inside and you couldn't understand why and you couldn't begin to even start pinpointing what? That place where you figured perhaps God might whisper in your ear, yet your ears pick up sounds foreign to it?

Perhaps there’s something to it. Why are many of us drawn to sights, sounds, feeling, that are foreign to our daily lives? Is it really because we do not experience it on a daily basis? How about those people that grow up in a small town yet no matter how many times they go do the same things they never get tired of it? Could it be a mutual love for the unknown? One living in a small time might require hope. He/she could hope that perhaps today is the day something different happens in their small town and be content to keep wishing. Or can something be the opposite? Could we love looking, seeing, smelling the exact same things EVERY TIME. So much that if it was off we would be too?

Regardless of those answers, I must admit I love seeing, feeling, hearing, different things than I’m use too. God can use it to put things back into perspective. People around you can also help put things in perspective. A dear friend of mine and I were recently having a deep conversation when we started talking about the experiences of the past. That we thought, without them we would not be where we were. However, her experience is a hard one, a sad one, and it made me evaluate mine. Did everything I go through really get me to where I am today? I think so… The smallest experiences sometimes can have the biggest impact on one.
What an interesting conversation.

Life and Death...

This time of season all Christians are usually in the mindset that Jesus is the reason for the season and see this as a joyful time. And what a wonderful time it truly is, Matthew says,
And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins.

Glorious time to celebrate the birth of the one who was to save us.

This season a very interesting thought hit me, that I had never thought of before. Christmas is about life and death. Yeah, I know, strange thought. But in a way it's commpletely true. In Christ's birth one finds life, but only through Christ's death. Even though it's not Easter sunday, doesn't mean it wasn't about life and death. This brings around such an important question, do we understand the meaning of Christmas? Do we understand this sacrifice? Wow! What a picture of the heart of God. A God that understands life and death.

This life and death is/was more than physical but a spiritual life/death that is for eternity. What a crucial descion! Yet, God's love provailed and sought death on a Cross to bring us life.

So this Christmas season as you celebrate the birth of our Saviour ask yourself, "Do I understand the sacrifice of life and death?"

#ItsAllAboutGiving

Recently, I heard the most amazing story from one of my good friends. Her parents had given each of the kids $50 dollars for Christmas. With a stipulation in place. It was not to be used for themselves or for their friends. Instead, it was to be used for someone in need! How neat was that! Each of the kids prayed about where God wanted them to use their money and than they acted upon it.

Giving is about acting upon what God wants you to do for others! While many of us may not have someone just give us money for this purpose there is always something we can do. Whether it is time, resources, or even money.

#ItsAboutGiving this Christmas season and all season in-between.

Heading back to my friend she ended up spliting the money up. Some of it went to the Compassion International Gift catalog. She saw her chance to help with the water situation in Ethiopia and she met it. Her joy was truly amazing!

This made me think, that giving creates joy! And isn't joy such a wonderful part of this season? While many times we focus so much on ourselves that we become complacent and lack joy, those that look past their situation discover so much joy! Wow! Such an acknowledgement that #ItsAllAboutGiving creates joy.

On Christmas Eve, the family of this story is getting together and telling stories of how they used the money. My friend can't wait to tell her family about the people in Ethiopia.

http://www.compassion.com/catalog.htm?referer=128060 is where my friend found the perfect opportunity for her to serve. You can too! There are so many opportunities for you to help! Check it out!

My goal? Is to raise $100 for children in poverty through the gift catalog and you can help!
Wow! With the readers I have, if everyone gave $10 we would raise OVER $100!
If we all work together, we can make a difference in the live's of children everywhere!
This year, I wasn't quite sure how to answer the question, "What do you want for Christmas?" But now I know, and am telling others about the amazing opportuinity Compassion is offering.

Once again, check out the catalog at their website: http://www.compassion.com/catalog.htm

#ItsAboutGiving

This week I was asked a question that made me think about giving. "What Does it Look Like to Give Biblically in Today's Culture?"

What does it look like to give biblically?

In a world that gets so consumed commercially, it is hard to truly understand a biblical viewpoint in today's culture. Yet, by a some in the world Christmas is seen as a time for giving not receiving. Whether its food or time, these items are seen as set apart in today's world.
The Bible presents many different aspects of giving. From the Jewish temple tithe to the time Jesus took out of his day to be with people. One can see many different giving ideas.

When I was a kid, my mother stressed the importance of giving something that meant something to the recipient. My family loved making gifts for each other and many people were surprised to hear of the ingenuity of my family at times. Not saying it's wrong to buy stuff, I am just stating that no matter what you give, as our parents always told us it is the thought that counts.

In the commerciallized age, America has many privileges other countries simply do not have. However, even those with a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree can still experience the joys and happiness of Christmas. Because of what Christmas is all about... giving. Celebrating the GIFT of Jesus to a broken world.

If you and your family want to do something with the precious resources given to us. Consider donate to Compassion International's Christmas Gift Catalog.
At the link available at the bottom. It's a great way to teach your children about giving and to understand the resources we have the joys of having. http://www.compassion.com/catalog.htm?referer=128060

Of course, the struggles of being a college student still arises and the start of the Christmas season brought this more to light. However, in an effort to save money my roomate and I came up with some really great ideas for decorating!

1) Paper Snowflakes- These make great decorations for around the room.

2)We wrote little bits of lyrics of different Christmas carols on Construction paper and cut them into different shapes and hung them around the room.

Both these ideas saved money that we put to good use! The gift catalog has so many different gifts you can give and many different price ranges to help those people who may not have a lot. From parasite prevention to lifesaving surgeries there is something for everyone.

Remember, #ItsAboutGiving! :)

#It'sAboutGiving

As we enter the month of Decemeber it is time for Christmas music, Christmas movies, supposedly less stress and more family... Yet looking around it seems that Christmas has gotten so stressful to not only myself but to others I see. Why is this the case? Perhaps, we have lost sight of what Christmas is all about...JESUS. GIVING. So today, I am giving all my readers a gift...my blog! :) Since I have updated it in a while I decided this would be a good step in starting the month of giving in a good way. As a college student I, unfortunately, do not have a lot of money. Actually I'm sure many people in todays economic crisis do not either. So the question is, if it's all about giving than how do I buy gifts? My answer: You make stuff! So the next couple of weeks we will be discuss neat things you can make or do for the people in your life that mean so much. Be creative! One of the most amazing idea's I have ever heard was about a family that got together and combined their money to buy a gift from the Compasson Christmas Gift Catalong, http://www.compassion.com/catalog.htm?referer=128060. They wanted their kids to understand what Christmas was all about. They allowed their child to choose something from it and was able to see how it helped impact someone in another nation. How neat is that! This Christmas season Compassion International is diving head first into this idea and have started a campaign #ItsAboutGiving. Now this campaign will help raise about $20,000 for children in poverty. By buying something as a family or friends than you can help the #ItsAboutGiving campaign!

Compassion International

Yesterday, for our chapel the main speaker spoke about Compassion International! It was great! Yet, at the same time, I was also a little sadden. The speaker was a great speaker do NOT get me wrong! But it seemed like he had planned to talk about Compassion right after he had played with everyone's emotions. While emotions can be considered a great and wonderful thing...is it possible to make desicions out of emotions that afterwards you regret? After the service, people raced to the table in order to secure their child to sponsor. In what would seem as a beautiful moment, I was a little worried. Now while supporting a child is AWESOME, if you can do it do it! But I only think that it is a good think if you actually think about what your doing and not do it out of emotions of that moment. I felt codendeming and pathetic as my thought processes turned over and over. "What if they drop their kid after a couple of months?", "Hmmm...at least that child would have been supported for a couple of months, right?" Maybe, but is that good? While yes I agree that many college students can do such a endeavor, not all of us can. I do agree that if you can find a group to help sponsor go for it! But think it through. How is support over the summer going to work? If your in a group, one must decide who the money will be sent to. I pray that those that made the desicion to support follow through. Compassion is such a good cause and the plight of the kids in need does indeed scream out. As of now, without money to support, I must ask myself, "Is short-term support the answer?" Or perhaps the words of Hudson Taylor might have the answer needed,
Perhaps if there were more of that intense distress for souls that leads to tears, we should more frequently see the results we desire. Sometimes it may be that while we are complaining of the hardness of the hearts of those we are seeking to benefit, the hardness of our own hearts and our feeble apprehension of the solemn reality of eternal things may be the true cause of our want of success.

Today is World Food Day

Hey everyone, Today seems like a normal day right? Well, in a way it is, and another it isn't. Today is World Food day, and I just wanted to share a fact from Compassion International.
And today, 925 million people do not have enough to eat. That is more than the populations of the USA, Canada and the European Union combined.
That's a lot of people. For more information on what you can do to help seek out organizations in your town that help feed the homeless or go to Compassion Internation's website: www.compassion.com to find out how you can help. *Spend a day, in the footsteps of someone who doesn't have enough to eat, keep a meal that may not actually be needed, or maybe don't eat the extravagent meal. It's one day for you, it's many for them.

Little Moments In Life

"Things change. And friends leave. Life doesn't stop for anybody.” ― Stephen Chbosky No life can't stop, but those living in life can slow down. Today I noticed something, not everyone is having the same day as YOU. As life continues day to day, people continue as well, moments happen both good and bad. Today, I met a girl whose face was full of tears, as I started to pass her, I felt like I needed to ask her how she was. When asked she started to pour her heart out, tear continuing to fall. As her story revealed it self, I was at a loss of words, and could do nothing but listen and pray. As she left, I couldn't help but think about this moment. That I happened to be here at this time. How many moments do people need help and I ignore or do not take notice? I cringed thinking of this... How many times do we run through life not taking time to notice the activities of others around me? Why are we so selfish that we think life is all about us? Just a thought about my day.
