I'm pretty sure that in my life I have somewhere heard the saying, "three's the best!" or maybe that was something else.....Anyways, Here's days 3-4 mission trip 2011.
Once completed a fabulous yummy continental breakfast at our hotel, we headed to the warehouse where we divided our group up into 4 groups. For those of you that I just lost saying "the warehouse" let me explain. The dream center has a warehouse they use to store all their furniture they give out and food, etc. BACK TO THE STORY.
One group headed out to take furniture to families that needed it.
Group 2 stayed at the warehouse to continue bagging groceries.
The other group went to a...almost a daycare(Christian) to help out with the kids and just hang out.
My group planned on visiting 6 families giving them food and seeing their needs.
This was apart of Project Prevention, finding the needs of the community and meeting those needs.

*In N.Y. if you don't have a mattress for every child, they can be taken from you. How sad. So we were able to help families get mattresses and other furniture pieces.
The first 2 families weren't home but we finally SCORED on house number 3!(Told you 3's a good number!)
This is the family(above), it was so neat to just talk to them and pray with them. We gave them food and were also there when the other team showed up with furniture. A wonderful ending to this house was seeing how empty it was when we got there and how full it was when we left- to see the looks on the woman's face....AH! Not a sight I'll quietly forget.
From there we visited another house and the children were so precious, and even though they were really long I loved talking to them. The little girls just sat in my arms so excited to have someone actually pay attention to them. Little cuties!
Here they are below,
From there lunch was on the menu, we had the best food up there. Thank you Michelle Johns, of the Dream Center, for cooking for us!
UP NEXT, Kids Klub!
I got the opportuinity to be on the visitation team. This is where you go into the neighborhood telling kids that kids klub is here!
I loved every second of it....every minute of it.
Every look of joy on a child's face made my face light up! Every laugh I'm sure God laughed too.
Seeing all the kids, excited about Kids Klub no words can express how amazing that is!
To have a child sit in your lap, than pray that Christ was her personal Saviour...PRICELESS.
I'm sure more happened....but I'm still lost in thought about those children....
I have no more words....if you saw what I saw, you would understand.
I would do anything to rewind to that day, that moment....
And to be honest, my mind actually doesn't remember much about that day except for what has been recorded right here.
So maybe, Day 3 was the best...you just have to wait and see. But I'm thinking it's going to take alot to beat that day. :)
(Above is what Sam and I do in our spare time! ;)
