It just seems like children have all the fun sometimes! Older kids can't use their imagination because it's silly right? We can't look like a fool, because we'll be made fun of! How sad! Than by the time we hit college we have forced ourselves into this box of who everyone wanted us to be and not what we truly are...No wonder teens and college students have so much trouble fitting it and enjoying life.
Can I make a confession?
I would rather listen to fun kid's songs sometimes than what all the other peeps my age listen too. I'd rather pretend to be Wendy with a kid(him being Peter Pan) than play video games or watch a movie. I'd rather watch Disney Channel than all the other junk that's on.
Wouldn't You?
Instead of using these 4 years in college trying to squeeze myself into this box, a mold, of what I "should" be, I will be who I really am.
A girl who belives in Jesus Christ as Lord and Lover...
A girl working on a noble character NOT because it's required, BUT desired.
A girl on a quest to go & make disciple of ALL nations, even right here!
A girl not afraid to speak up for others...(Proverbs 31:8-9)
*Maybe these college years were meant to refine character in the fire. But because we've suffered years and years of this "boxing in" has caused us to lose sight of who we really are. Hence the phrase "finding ourselves" wow, we NEVER lost our selfs; just step out of the box.
*Imagine who you were 2 years ago, what happened to that person? Was the change good or bad? Imagine, who you want to be at the end of 4 years...it's hard, but HEY, THAT'S WHAT THE IMAGINATION IS FOR! Is this person boxed in to others standards or yours?
IMAGINE YOUR YOU, NO ONE ELSE! Who is that person?
Today, as you go through your day, decide that you'll be you; No matter who makes fun of you!
