So it's determined.................
Determined that today is not one of my favorite days. Can the world stop spinning just for a sec.? I may need to catch my breath.
I've determined also, why people get blogs...so they can vent. Ventings good right? We will see...
It's already Thanksgiving time, and while school is enjoyable and busy, my outside of school life is a stressful time. So to help myself out in this area, I've made a checklist of things not to do this month!:
1) DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, write a "things to do list" that's just not helping the stressfreeness.
2) Basically, DO NOT offer to do anything(such as cooking) unless you know you can do it.
3) DO NOT look at calendars...they just remind you how many more stressful days are left.
I think that about does it!
As I read this, I'm pretty much laughing at myself. While it seems funny to some, it's a reality to others. It's hard to be thankful for things when all you seem to do is get stressed out about everything. Here's a couple of tips that I FOUND helped with the thankless days.
1) Instead of being thankful for things(house, car, etc.) Be thankful for people and write them a card saying how thankful you are for them.
2) Offer to make something special for thanksgiving and have fun digging through recipe books,(I had fun!)
3) Break out into random song or dance, and laugh at yourself!
4) Think of others not yourself. "To do lists" are alright and all but they tend to focus on YOU, what YOU have to do. Instead, look at other people( mom, friend, etc.)'s things to do list and chip in. They will be very grateful and you can have a bonding moment.
5) MAJORLY, Thank God for all these things, and praise His name!
The list goes on and on...but one things for sure. Regardless of how stressful your days are, thanksgiving is more than material things, but about the people around the table or not.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
