The Journey's of a College Student: Controlling that Schedule to Scream More God

Where to start? I'm finding this journey a little easier than when I first started, finding that classes are getting a bit more harder, but I'm enjoying it anyways! Having a hard time in that horrible class of Psychology...yuck....the science of the mental and behavior processes, I mean come on, who cares about that? lol actually I do, but I'm just not getting it. Today, I leave for my first Forensics competion after class today. And no, before you ask it's not about cutting up dead bodies. I mean speech & debate. Yuup, I'm purty excited! Heading to Nashville for a weekend competition. I can not wait for classes to end! So Excited! Let's hurry up classes! I'm thinking that the basis of focusing on God during college, has to do with time management. You know, the little black(or what ever color) scheduler that seems to run your life? If you look at that schedule and God isn't in there anywhere than you've got a problem. I am sick and tire of people coming to me and saying, "I just don't feel closer to Him." My question is always, "So, when was the last time you spent some time with God?" "Um....welll...you....see....Um....it's been a while." Well no wonder! In order to get to know God you must spend time with Him. Just like the more you spend time with your best friend you know them more. It's the same with God, the more you spend time with Him the more you get to know Him. So the quesiton is...what's your point of desparation? How desparate do you want to know Him? Is it enough to fill out that Schedule with slots of God? I know you have got lots of things you have to do. I feel you! Tests, Exams, social activities, homework, I feel you. I recently , but don't rememeber who due to my bad memory, a speaker say, " We have to much to do, NOT to spend time with God!" wow! What an eye opener! For MRHP, this is critical, we get our mission when we come before God in the mornings. "What would you have me to do today, God?" How do you know what is expected of you when you don't spend time with Him? I encourage you to take that schedule and see how many "Godslots" you have in there, see if you need to add more or some. Even if it means getting up early or staying up late or maybe not doing that social activites that happens ALL THE TIME. *Let me know what happens! So, today, right now, as I take off to eat breakfast and head to my first class, these are my thoughts and I hope I made myself clear on the subject.
^My best friend Katie & I. Who are continously getting to know each other more and more everyday.
