The Revelation of A Ravishing Love....1 John 3:1/1 John 4:9

Look at how great a love the Father has given us that we should be called God's children. And we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn't know Him.

One of my favorite versions, says how great a love the Father has LAVISHED on us.Yes, I do understand that there is a difference between lavishing and ravishing. To me, God's love can be totally described as beautiful and attracting(Ravishing). God's love is also given without limit, equal and just.(Lavishing). Therefore my title and verse to me fit quite nicely. :)

I have read this verse over and over before and have NEVER been struck in the way that I have been. It says LOOK!!! Take a look at the Father's love!!!! Have we been looking at this love? I must say I do know God love's me, but for me to look upon it-never crossed my mind.

A love SO great that we are called God's children! Wow! What a major development, that the King of the Universe, the Creator of all, calls us children.....What kind of love is this?
.....It's ravishing!
......It's lavishing!
I love it then when John says,"And we are!" reassuring those that may doubt this ravishing, lavishing love. He's like, "Oh, yes no doubt. It's true! No kidding!"
Moving on through this, it says the world does not know us because the world doesn't know Him. Now how sad is this, that God lavishes His love, and yet, the world does not seem to look upon this love. For those of you that read, "Concerning The Word of Life, this is something we have seen and heard, we can observe his love and touch it! From there we testify & declare!

We may say what do we testify? What do we declare?
Why, of course, the revelation of God's love!
Well, what's this revelation?
It's that God sent His One and Only Son here, on earth so that we,God's children, might live through Him! What a revelation of a ravishing, lavishing love! (1 John 4:9)
His love was revealed through the Cross, do we truly understand this?

1) A love so great He was willing to die for you? HE FOUGHT FOR YOU!

2)A perfect love that casts out fear! 1 John 4:18

3) A love that causes us to love. (We love because He first loved us.)

*All these these & more(check out 1 Corinthians 13) so that we might live through Him.

Now that's what I call Ravishing, lavishing love!
