A Role Approved

So we've talked about our role in His story, and slightly touched on when we know it's His plan; let's continue that talk. :) So how do we know that what we have planned is truly from God and approved by God?    This is when we go straight to the source- the Bible, God's word, authority on ALL THINGS LIFE! Let's do this:                                                                                                                                         "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."(Proverbs 16:3)                                                                                                                                                                                                        "Commit to the Lord" huh?  What does that look like? How do we do that? Well let's find out what that word Commit means first:
"2. Pledge or bind (a person or an organization) to a certain course or policy. " (Dictionary.com)
Hmmmm....pledge or bind, that's self explanatory. But what's our course or policy? God's plan of course! When we are living for God and we commit ourselves to Him than our plans succeed. Have you complete pledged or bound yourself to God? If not I encourage you to lay it all down! His plans are better than our own. When we are walking in His plan that He created for us before we were even born, it succeeds.

*What are plans that you have made that haven't been committed to God yet?  ^Everything we do should be committed to God.
*What are your thoughts on this?
God has a plan or map of your life.

My Role In His Passion

What's that suppose to mean exactly? I can hear some of you saying that.
So I decided to dedicate my first blog to explain what that means.
This year, I have been learning so much from God, so much I wish I would of know...hmmmm...I don't know last year maybe!!!!
But the biggest things is discovering my role in His story. :)
Sometimes I wish we could be born with a knowing of what we are meant to do and than we could spend our entire lives devoted to something because we know that's what we're  SUPPOSE to do.
Actually to tell you the truth I think we are and were.
Most of us that come from a Christian background are raised knowing that our lives our meant to glorify God.
But how many of us understand what that means?
How many of us that get told this or tells this lives their lives to glorify God?
While yes, my role is to glorify Him; the question is HOW?
Colossians 3:23-25 says “Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men”.
Whatever you do....whatever you do. That's a hard one! Can I get a ah uh from that?
I have known this for a while everybody tells me this.
Yet All I can think of is Jeremiah 29:11, God says He has a plan...a plan for me, a plan JUST FOR YOU. Not just washing dishes, but a big role! What's this Plan?
After many months of wondering, I have some thoughts.
I believe that before we were even born God knew what our plan was, what our role would be...Our small role in His bigger plan.
I was reading a book by Max Lucado(great author, btw) and I learned quite alot but the words that stood out were: My role in His passion. It talked about how we should ask God to show us. The talent's He's given us, the dreams, the gifts-It's all apart of the role He have given you.
So how do we come to know this role? How do we know what He wants us to do?
In my experience(which isn't a whole lot), I seem to always know what my role is when I am walking in tune to God. When I take the time to listen to His voice speak to me.

*Ask yourself...What's my role in His passion?
*How do I get to those goals?
*What's keeping me from knowing my role?

I want to hear from YOU!
